When we got the opportunity to review Lightning Rabbit cables we weren’t sure what to expect. Promises of high quality cables for connecting and syncing our day to day devices were high. Did the Lightning Rabbit give us the run around? Find out in the full review after the break!

We were sent four cables to review from Lightning Rabbit: 2 x Lightning Cables, 1 x 30-pin connector, and 1 x micro-USB cable. We were most interested in the Lightning cables as we recently reviewed another lightning cable third party manufacturer who experienced quality control issues. Our greatest concern was incompatibility and the dreaded “this accessory may not be compatible” message. Our fears were put to rest as the two lightning cables sent to us performed like a champ. Charging was similar to regular Apple Lightning cables, and syncing performed without an issue.

The braided cloth design of the Lightning Rabbit cables felt durable and well constructed. At 5 feet in length, we never had to worry about the cable being inadequate in length for use in our cars or office desks. One of the pluses in our experience was the fact that the Lightning Rabbit cables were more malleable and flexible than alternative Lightning cables we have used.

Both ends of the Lightning Rabbit connectors have an aluminum anodized finish which stand up well to daily use (no scuffs or scratches seen after our daily use tests). The only true issue we experienced was the connector itself (for the lightning cable version of the Lightning Rabbit) is a bit larger than other cables we have tested. This did not become an issue with cases which have larger port openings, but for those that are smaller we had issues connecting the Lightning Rabbit without removing the case.

Overall, the Lightning Rabbit build quality is second to none and performance was great when syncing/charging. The Lightning Rabbit didn’t give use the run around, instead it became a great pet. If you’re looking for a third party cable manufacturer, the Lightning Rabbit would be a great choice to consider.
