When one or two USB ports are not enough, you need to grab yourself a USB hub. Anker has you covered with its 10 port USB 3.0 Apple style hub (that’s a mouthful). How does it stack up and is 10 really enough? Find out in the full review after the break!
I have to hand it to Anker, their packaging is impeccable. With everything fitting perfectly together in their packaging, they really do remind me of Apple and their packaging protocol. The Anker 10 Port USB 3.0 Hub has an aluminum exterior, very much in keeping with an Apple-esque design.
You do get a power cable with the 10 Port USB 3.0 Hub which is a huge plus in my book as it allows for you to not only use the port to transfer data, but you can also use it to charge multiple devices. In our tests, transfer speeds were much in line with USB 3.0 as long as the port it was connected to could maintain that speed. For example, we connected our hub to a USB 2.0 port and got much lower transfer speeds (see figure below).
The design of the Anker 10 Port USB 3.0 Hub was great, with its polished aluminum finish it really stands out. The power button and inputs were accessible with the easy to see blue LEDs notifying us of ports being used.
Overall, the Anker 10 Port USB 3.0 Hub (Apple Style) really delivered with performance and build quality. While 10 USB 3.0 ports might be overkill for most, if you needed one, this hub would be the one to get.
